CLACTON Golf Club lady captain Di Kedge welcomed 82 ladies from across Essex and Suffolk for a Four Ball Better Ball Open.
There were prizes for nearest the pin on the second, fifth, seventh, 15th and 17th holes and nearest the line on the 18th.
Returning a great winning score of 53 points were Jo Kurn and Patricia Flynn, from Rayleigh Golf Club.
In second were Marie Ellis and Tracey Taylor, from Frinton Golf Club, with 52 points, and in third were Janella Hendry and Felicity Learey, from The Essex, with 49.
Meanwhile, Clacton's ladies played their America Cup.
The winning score of 94-26-68 was returned by the in-form Sue Carter.
In second was Faye Trigg, with 77-6-71, on countback from third-placed Chris Crossfield, with 93-22-71.
In fourth was Jennie Corbyn, with 93-21-72, on countback from fifth-placed lady captain Kedge, with 92-21-72.
In sixth, again on countback, was Heather Bradfield, with 94-22-72.
Elsewhere, Clacton's junior section, under the guidance of PGA professional Sam Teer, played their July Stableford.
In first place was Josh Bethell, with 35 points, and in second was Henry Goodwin, with 34.
In third was James Wright, with 33.
Clacton's county champions, Faye Trigg and Katy Yates, travelled to Gosfield Lake to play their Essex Ladies' Golf Union Munro Foursomes quarter-final against Warley Park.
They were in sparkling form, winning 6&5.
The semi-final will be at Frinton on August 7, when their opponents will be Colchester.
