HARWICH and Dovercourt Golf Club's veterans enjoyed a 7½-½ success against Birch Grove.
Meanwhile, in the Coffin Dodgers' third annual invitational day at Braxted Park, 24 competitors played a Texas Scramble.
It took place in brilliant sunshine and resulted in a winning score of 55.1 for Chris Day, Jim Brown, Tony Dumper and Ron Turner.
Nearest the pin winners were Mike Brasier and Andy Leatherdale.
