HARWICH boxer Stevie Martin capped his campaign in style at the Sudbury ABC show.

He was involved in an evenly-matched bout against Fenland Sparta ABC’s Liam Finley.

Finley came out slinging hook after hook in the first round, with several finding the mark.

Martin changed tactics in the second to good effect and, after making Finley miss, he capitalised with solid counter-punches.

More of the same in the last saw 15-year-old Martin take hold of the contest to run out a point winner.

Elsewhere, unbeaten Leo Carty faced fellow unbeaten prospect Aiden Fitzpatrick, also from Fenland Sparta.

He made light work of the fact he was conceding nearly a year in age to his more mature opponent as he nicked the first round.

From there on in, Carty's performance was a revelation as he grew in confidence and totally bossed the bout with fast hands catching the eye.

A clear unanimous points decision went the way of the 11-year-old.

Another Harwich 11-year-old, Cameron Walker, looked to get back to winning ways in his contest versus Matty Page, from Norwich City ABC.

He showed plenty of neat defensive moves, which gave him room to get his shots off.

After three close rounds, the Harwich schoolboy took the spoils on a split points decision.

Fifteen-year-old Toby Gledhill performed admirably against unbeaten-in-four Daniel Starns, from Chadwell St Mary ABC.

He set about his task with relish against a far taller opponent, scoring well with solid hooks.

After three exciting rounds, Starns took the decision by a close split points win.
