LADY captain Angela Vaughan hosted the annual ladies' Guest Day at Frinton Golf Club.
It took place on a wet and windy day, but the participants made the most of it and the scoring was quite respectable. Caroline Gard and her guest, Sue Gilbert, came out on top with a score of 43 points, on countback from Tricia Hamilton and Sarah Gordon.
Ginny Richardson and Sally Cearns were a close third, with 42 points.
Gard was also nearest the pin on the sixth, with Cearns taking the honours on the 13th.
Meanwhile, Frinton's men played an EGU medal on Saturday.
It was a full field and Luke Brown was the winner on countback, with a great score of 67 nett, just ahead of Ian Low.
Tony Nicholas was in third place with a close 68.
Finally, Lily Taylor won the Sabine Cup, an 18-hole medal for juniors, with a splendid score of 65 nett.
Junior captain Claire Vaughan was in second place with an impressive 69.
