Burnham make progress
THE Burnham on Crouch men’s Mail on Sunday team were drawn to play Benton Hall away but the match had to be switched to Burnham where the conditions matched the criteria for the competition.
The team made the most of having a home advantage.
James Marchant played a one handicapper and made the most of his 11 shots and won 5 & 4. Captain Graham Bowers and Brian Roche both won 3 & 2, Dean Bewers won 4 & 3 and Paul Hegarty had a resounding 7 & 6 win.
So a clean sweep of 5-0.
