HARWICH and Parkeston joint-boss John Fidgett insists his side can get their season back on track.
After winning their opening game of the Essex and Suffolk Border League premier division campaign, the Shrimpers have lost three in a row – shipping 15 goals.
They now have a home match against Barnston AFC tomorrow before a challenging run of games against Holland FC, West Bergholt, neighbours Little Oakley and University of Essex.
Nevertheless, Fidgett is staying optimistic.
“If I didn’t feel upbeat, I wouldn’t keep doing the job,” he said.
“I’m not a defeatist and am always positive.
“I have to be, otherwise it would rub off on the players.
“I always hated losing when I was a player and I’m exactly the same as a manager.
“October will be a tough month, because of the fixtures we’ve got.
“But I genuinely think we can cause problems for the teams we’re up against.”
