FORMER favourite Chris Ribchester has re-signed for FC Clacton.
The centre-half, who was a key player in the Seasiders’ 2009/10 promotion-winning season and has made more than 100 appearances, agreed terms at the club’s first training session on Tuesday night.
His return is a major boost for manager David Coyle, who needed to beef up his defence as Lee Peacock is likely to miss all of next season while travelling around Asia.
Other ex-players could also be returning, with the likes of Jack Clampin and Jake Plane poised to come back to the Rush Green Bowl.
However, key personnel from last season now appear unlikely to feature next season.
Both Louie Newland and Steve Downes look set to play for Essex and Suffolk Border League teams.
