BRANTHAM Athletic boss Paul Skingley is hopeful of retaining last season’s squad – and making one or two additions.
However, he admits it counts for little until the official Thurlow Nunn League registration forms are distributed in mid-June.
The Imps had an amazing end to last term, finishing eighth in the premier division, with just one defeat in their final 12 fixtures.
They pulled off one of the results of the season on the final weekend, inflicting a first home defeat on champions Norwich United.
Skingley is keen to keep the group together and said: “I’ve spoken to them all and they’ve all indicated that they’d like to stay.
“I’d be disappointed if any went back on their word, but I know how it works.
“It’s hard for anyone to say anything concrete until they come back for pre-season.
“Things can change very quickly and who am I to stand in anyone’s way, if someone comes along with an offer they can’t refuse?
“That said, I’m certainly hopeful and we’re also speaking to one or two (potential new signings) ourselves.”
