Halstead Cricket Club’s annual beer festival will be taking place this weekend at their Star Stile ground.

A large selection of real ales will be on offer at the festival over the Bank Holiday weekend, with the bar open from 11am to 11pm.

There is also a Club Night tomorrow when members and non-members alike will be welcome.

Tickets are £6, but go up to £10 on the door and the cost includes food and live music from Anything Else.

Tomorrow sees the club’s second and third teams at home in Marshall Hatchick Two Counties Championship action, starting at 1pm along with a barbecue.

There will be a hog roast and performance from the Victory Jazz Band on Sunday, with the North Essex Cricket League side playing host to High Easter.

Bank Holiday Monday again sees a barbecue alongside the Senior XI welcoming Chelmer Vets for a 2pm start.

Tickets for the club night are available from the bar at Star Stile.
