HELLO again everyone.

It’s going right down to the wire as Saturday’s results now see us three points clear of the relegation zone with two games left.

That’s better than our situation before the weekend, but there’s still work to do before the first team can be assured of survival.

However, it’s been the young Seasiders who have really caught the eye in the last ten days or so.

First, the under-18s ended their season with a 6-1 win over Halstead Town, with Dan Read grabbing five of those goals.

The boys finished as runners-up, as a result of AFC Sudbury losing their final game on Monday night, and can feel very proud of their efforts.

Hopefully moving up to the under-18s next season will be some of our current under-16 Blues team.

They stayed on course for a league and cup double as they overcame Notley Youth 2-1 in their League Cup semi-final on Thursday, thanks to goals from George Baker and Oliver Law.

They then drew their last league game against Bures United 1-1 with a goal from Charlie Welham.

That left them three points clear of Heybridge Swifts at the top of the A League.

If Heybridge win their last game they will play-off with the Blues for the title.

Anything less will see the boys crowned champions.

That’s not all.

The under-11 Blues won their Colchester Open Cup quarter-final on Saturday and their League Cup semi-final on Sunday.

They should give Liverpool lessons on how to win a cup tie!

These are just a few highlights.

FC Clacton is so much more than just a senior team.

We’re a part of the local community, allowing hundreds of boys, girls, men and women to participate in this great game.

I’m biased but I’d say that deserves a round of applause and show of support.

This Saturday the first team play their final home game of the season against Kirkley and Pakefield.

Why not come along and support your local club in this big, big game?

Come on you Seasiders!
