TIPTREE Road Runners posted four personal bests as they prepared for spring marathons at races around the country.

At the Brentwood Half-Marathon, Graeme Moon was first home for the club in one hour, 41 minutes and 54 seconds, his best time for several years.

Martin Pratley made his club debut at the distance in 1h 55m 34s.

Stacy Hember improved her personal best to 1h 59m, with Zoe Gould also setting a new best time of 2h 23s.

Kim Broughton ran 2h 2m 15s and their was a personal best for John McVelia in 2h 5m 25s. Louise Hawkins finished in 2h 12m 31s.

Craig Dawson finished the Stowmarket half-marathon in 1h 28m 19s, with Gary Perryman improving his personal best to 1h 39m 12s.

Peter Bouldstridge ran 1h 46m 36s, just outside his best time, and Dawn Shilling finished in a season’s best of 2h 9m 18s.

James Haskey-Jones completed the Wymondham 20 in 2h 18m 7s, his second 20 miler in a week and Matt Davey made his debut at the 15-mile distance finishing the Banbury 15 in 1h 58m.

Anthony Knight tackled the “Back to the Trenches” 10k obstacle race, which involved crawling through freezing cold mud and water, tunnels, electric fences and barbed wire, coupled with tough muddy hills.

He completed the course in 1h 15m.

Earlier, Craig Dawson won his second race in the Nightmare trail series finishing in 46m 42s.

Gary Perryman and Peter Bouldstridge ran 1h 16m 19s and Wendy Smalley and Dawn Shilling completed the course in 1h 19m 16s to joint second place in the ladies’ series. Simon Morgan finished in 1h 27m 5s.

In local Parkruns, Craig Dawson ran 19m 4s at Colchester, followed by Simon and Abigail Morgan in 24m 43s and Gary Perryman running sweeper in 50m 52s.

Malcolm Bailey finished the Maldon Prom Parkrun in 23m 36s, with Stuart Meddemmen running 23m 50s, David Stokes 26m 58s and Jo Roblin 28m 25s.

Andrew Conway took fourth place at Brandon Forest in 20m 11s and Anthony Knight and Finlay Newman finished the Hockley Woods Parkrun in 32m 50s.
