CHEQUE MATES: Frank Warbey presents his cheque to Sabi Blyth, with some of his sponsors and Millers Barn members.
A SPECIAL cheque presentation took place at Millers Barn Golf Park.
Outgoing captain Frank Warbey handed over £6,072 – a phenomenal amount for a small club – to Essex Air Ambulance senior fundraiser Sabi Blyth.
The money was raised during the past year by members, juniors and visitors.
Warbey thanked all those who helped him, including sponsors Grantleys Electrical, Simon Archer Plumbing, John O’Connor and Smith’s Trophies, the staff and management at Millers Barn, ladies’ captain Brenda Welch and seniors’ captain Colin Bull.
He also expressed his thanks to everyone who donated or gave up their time.
The money was raised from competitions, raffles and donations.
