Steve Holland maintained his superb unbeaten record to help Great Horkesley D preserve their lead at the top of Colchester and District Table Tennis League division two.

Holland has won all 27 of his games so far and played his part in their 8-2 victory over Pegasus C, along with Pete Witton and Colin Brown.

Lawford A have closed the gap to four points after beating close rivals Lawford B, 10-0.

Great Horkesley E earned a narrow 6-4 win over the club’s F team in a relegation scrap, while Dedham B beat Tollgate D 9-1.

In division three, Pegasus F and Pegasus E were involved in a closely-fought contest that ended in a 5-5 draw.

Paul Weston remained unbeaten for Pegasus E.

Rowhedge I moved to the top of division four after a comfortable 9-1 victory against Pegasus G.

Rowhedge J thrashed Tollgate F 9-1, with youngsters Jared Chelski and Daniel Young winning all three of their games, while Tollgate E and CRGS A shared the spoils.

In the premier division, Pegasus A lost 6-4 to Rowhedge A, despite moving into a 3-1 lead.

St James A had a good 7-3 win over Tollgate A, with James Denyer the only player to remain unbeaten.

In division four, bottom team Rowhedge F beat Tollesbury A, thanks to Chris Brook’s fine maximum.

St James C remain top thanks to a 6-4 win over Tollgate C with John Fenton receiving the man-of-the-match award, after winning all of his games.
