HARWICH and Parkeston and Little Oakley are hoping to seal their places in what would be a mouth-watering cup final.

In a ironic twist, the neighbours could meet in the Border League Knockout Cup final, if they safely negotiate tomorrow’s last-four ties.

The Shrimpers have a date at Holland FC, while Oakley entertain Alresford Colne Rangers.

Both sides warmed-up for their matches with impressive results last weekend.

Harwich were forced into a late reshuffle but still proved too strong for Dedham Old Boys, winning 3-0.

It was a result that took them back to the Kent Blaxill Essex and Suffolk Border League premier division summit, with previous leaders Tollesbury inactive.

Oakley, meanwhile, gained a battling point from a 0-0 draw at West Bergholt.
