BRAINTREE Town boss Brad Quinton feels his players can feed off the euphoria of their win against Concord Rangers when they return to action on Tuesday night.

While Quinton acknowledged that the frantic finish to his side's encounter with Concord may not have been ideal for conserving energy for a quick-fire turnaround, he saw the benefits in how buoyant his players were at the final whistle.

Braintree won that game 2-1 with Luke Allen’s winning strike coming with almost the last kick of the game deep in time added-on at the end.

And the Iron boss feels they can feed off the manner of that win to press back into the top seven in the table in coming games - starting at home against Whitehawk tomorrow night.

Quinton said: “Perhaps it would have been better to have got two goals early on (against Concord) and then not had such an intense game after to save more energy in the bank for Tuesday’s game.

“However, sometimes we like to make things hard for ourselves and a win’s a win.

“The way we won it was another couple of points earned for me on top of the three we got.

“You won’t see them on the league table, but they're there for the guys in our dressing room as they were buzzing after that game.

“I know what it’s going to take to get over the line and into the play-offs and if we can do it now then it’s going to be tremendous from where we were at the start of the season.

“These boys knew I was going to be very disappointed had we lost that game against Concord, especially with how we had played.

“We moved the ball very well and the way we got it into the box was excellent.

“I was pleased for them and we look to kick on now after that against Whitehawk on Tuesday."
