THE prospect of facing Macclesfield Town in the quarter-finals of the FA Trophy awaits Braintree Town, but the Iron know they will have to find "a bit more quality" tonight if they are to book a historic date in the last eight.

Braintree have never made it into the fourth round of the Trophy and will have to get past Dulwich Hamlet in a third round replay tonight to make history.

The Ryman League premier division side held the Iron, who play their league football two levels higher, to a 0-0 draw at Braintree on Saturday and could feel a touch disappointed not to have won the tie.

Iron manager Hakan Hayrettin felt both teams had chances to secure progress, but wants to see a more clinical edge from his side in tonight's replay at Dulwich Hamlet.

He said: “It will be a good atmosphere at their place and if they play anything like they did on Saturday then it will be a very good game.

“What I know is we have to step it up.

“It will take the same desire, the same passion, the same resilience but just with a bit more quality.

“There was a bit more quality needed from both teams in front of goal and we have to be better there on Tuesday to make sure we go through.

“Take nothing away from my boys, though, as they’ve been fantastic and I have to be positive to keep them positive to make sure we can go through.

“We have been clinical before and we have to be again.

“I might change things around for the replay, but the boys have been fantastic this season and we have to keep pushing.

“I might have to tweak it.

“I knew Dulwich would be a decent team, but we had enough chances to win in the first game and we just didn’t take them.

“My job is to keep the boys on their toes and remind them of why we have got where we are.

“I did that after Saturday’s game and I’m not going to tell them anything different now.

“It’s a great opportunity to progress into the last eight.

“Maybe they didn’t play as well as they can on Saturday, but they have to show a bit more now."
