TEN-MAN Maldon and Tiptree secured a good win against struggling Barkingside.

The Jammers secured a 3-0 Ryman League division north victory at Park Drive.

Maldon started on the front foot with Sam Newson going on a good run, beating three defenders but he fired his shot into the side netting.

Adam Mills, however, put the Jammers in front with a great bicycle kick to record his first goal for the club on 13 minutes.

Newson then doubled the home side’s advantage on 24 minutes.

However, Maldon were reduced to ten men when Darren Mills was sent off on 54 minutes.

But it was Maldon who went further in front when the Jammers broke quickly and Joe Francis played in Newson who made it 3-0 on 76 minutes.

Brightlingsea Regent fell to a 2-1 defeat at Soham Town Rangers.

Brightlingsea made a bright start to the game.

Shamido Pedulu beat his man to put in a good cross for Phil Kelly but he couldn’t convert his effort on two minutes.

Russell Malton then had a good effort for Regent but Soham keeper George Lawton made a good save.

But in a bad spell for the visitors Soham took a 2-0 lead.

Marcus Hall made it 1-0 on 33 minutes before Salim Relizani added a second two minutes later.

It got worse for Brightlingsea on 71 minutes when Jake Gould was sent off for picking up a second yellow card.

But Regent got back in the game to make it an exciting finish when Kelly made it 2-1 on 88 minutes.

But there wasn’t enough time left for Regent to get a share of the spoils.

Witham Town secured a much-needed win against visiting Waltham Abbey.

They grabbed a 1-0 win to gain a valuable three points.

Witham took the lead on 32 minutes when Tyler Hayes opened the scoring.

Heybridge Swifts secured a great win at high-flying Cray Wanderers in their battle to move away from the relegation zone.

Jack Barham opened the scoring to put Heybridge 1-0 up on 14 minutes.

But Wanderers got back into the game when James Duckworth equalised on 53 minutes.

However, Swifts were back in front two minutes later when Barham got his second of the afternoon to make it 2-1.

And Barham put Swifts further in front on 65 minutes when he completed his hat-trick.

Wanderers were then reduced to ten men on 69 minutes when Leigh Bremner was sent off.

But the home side were making a fight of it when they pulled a goal back through Aryan Tajbakhsh.

But Jamie Guy restored Swifts’ two-goal advantage when he made it 4-2 on 90 minutes to secure the win.
