Legends continue their winning ways in the Braintree Open Darts League as they took a clean sweep against Notley Sports.

Pairs and triples wins were followed by singles successes for Chris Holden, Barry Lynn, Dan Taylor and Stuart Wicks in an overall win.

Cressing chalked up a 2-1 pairs win at home against the Welsh Princess, however, the visitors drew in the triples to make it all to play for in the singles.

Cressing’s Tony Bamsey and Bryan Willis opened and with wins, before the Welsh’s Andi Thomas pulled a game back, but with Mick Cain and Shane Smith winning their games, the hosts had the singles and match won.

Eagle B took the pairs against Wethersfield and the two clubs drew in the triples, but Wethersfield wrapped up match honours with singles successes for Tony Boreham. Steve Sheldrake, Dave Suckling, Kevin Taylor and Paul Bragg.

The Eagle’s A team travelled to the Retreat and lost the pairs and triples, before defeats in the opening three singles made the match points safe for the hosts.

Andy Camp’s win in the fifth game also secured the singles for the Retreat.

The match between Swiss Bell and Braintree Football Club saw the Football Club win the pairs 2-1 and also take the triples, but the singles were closer.

Lynn Kelly’s victory wrapped up the overall match result for the Football Club, but Rob Watson defeated Graham Mills to secure the singles points for Swiss Bell.
