BRAINTREE Town battled to a draw against visiting Aldershot Town.
The Iron came back to secure a Vanarama Conference Premier 1-1 draw at Cressing Road.
It was the visitors who took the lead in the first half.
Sam Hatton opened the scoring with a right-footed shot from the edge of the six-yard box on 28 minutes.
Dan Sparkes then had a chance to level for the Iron with a left-foot shot but it went wide.
Braintree put pressure on the Aldershot goal just before the break but Simeon Akinola and Mitch Brundle couldn’t find a way through.
After the break, Sparkes equalised for the Iron when he shot from the left found the right-hand corner of the goal on 55 minutes.
After the goal the game petered out with few chances for either side.
