Garry Kimble feels his team’s position in the Ryman League premier division drop zone has made tomorrow’s trip to Tonbridge Angels the “biggest game in the club’s history”.

With Witham now five points from safety, Kimble knows his team desperately need a victory against another side struggling for form towards the foot of the table if they are to keep alive their hopes of avoiding a return to division one north.

“It looks bleak but we have to get our heads up, train and go again,” said Kimble.

“Saturday will be the biggest game in the club’s history as it can keep our season alive.

“It has to.

“You can advise the players, but when they go out on the park it’s down to them.

“It’s down to them as individuals and for those around them to tell each other.

"Everyone has to be talking, not just one or two.

"It’s down to them, they are out there and we can’t keep playing the game for them."
