Brad King is keeping the faith in Witham Town’s relegation fight.

Despite the disappointment of Monday’s defeat at Billericay Town, Witham’s assistant manager feels results like the 2-1 win against AFC Hornchurch last weekend show they can still beat the drop in the Ryman League premier division this year.

With just ten games to go, starting with tomorrow’s trip to Kingstonian, King knows it will be a battle to stay up, but he is backing their players to lift them away from the drop zone.

“I believe we can do it,” said King.

“I would be more concerned if we weren’t creating chances, but we are so I have faith that we can get clear.

“I think it will now go to the wire, but that’s what we anticipated at the start of the season.

“We aren’t in a situation that we didn’t expect to be in as we knew it would be a battle.

“Our resources are probably not even in the top eight of division one north of the Ryman League let alone the premier division.

“However, we have a great bunch of lads and I back them to the hilt."
