Braintree Town were unable to make a man advantage for most of the second half count as their poor record against Lincoln City continued at Sincil Bank.
Despite the Imps having Tony Diagne sent off just after half-time, two first-half goals and one after they had been reduced to ten men saw Lincoln win 3-2 to stay second in the Vanarama Conference Premier table.
Kenny Davis did give Braintree some hope as he fired in from the penalty that followed Diagne’s dismissal and Mitch Brundle added a late second but Alan Devonshire’s team went down to a sixth straight defeat by the Imps.
