Braintree Town are hoping there will be some Premier League stars on show as they host West Ham at the Amlin Stadium on Monday night.

The Hammers will face the Iron in a friendly match (kick-off 7.45pm) which has been set up by current Braintree manager and former West Ham legend Alan Devonshire.

His old team have said they will be sending their development squad, managed by Ian Hendon, but have added that they are expecting to feature a number of senior players in need of game time.

Recent first-team debutants George Moncur and Matthias Fanimo as well as former Braintree loanee Dominic Vose could be involved in the match.

The game has been slotted into the Hammers’ schedule due to the lack of Premier League action over the wekeend due to the international break.

Tickets cost £10 for adults and £5 for OAPs and under-16s.
