The Charlie Turnbull Trophy took centre stage for Braintree and North Essex Sunday League clubs.

And it was goals galore in the second round, with 59 goals scored in the eight matches played.

Premier division side SC Crittall led the way, as they thrashed second division Witham Galacticos 13-1.

James Cordery hit a hat-trick while Matt Staines, Adam Crowhurst and Bradley Hickman scored a brace each.

Liam Bright also scored and Crittall were also helped by three own goals, with Adam Shelton netting Galacticos’ consolation.

Fellow premier division side Argos United also achieved double figures after beating division three side Great Notley, 10-0.

Brendon Corr and Lloyd Gooday both hit hat-tricks and Josh Boundy, Matt Baker, Jan Apolenar and John Breen also scored.
