Braintree and District Athletic Club junior members turned out in force to represent their schools at the North West Essex Schools Partnership Cross-Country Event at Great Notley Country Park.

The course comprised of single lap circuits of various lengths according to each age category.

It remained dry but it was extremely cold and the conditions underfoot were tough and energy-sapping throughout.
