Hockey club on lookout for new faces

Braintree Hockey Club are hoping that the popularity of the Olympics will help attract new players to the club, ahead of the new season.

The club are a very welcoming and friendly mixed hockey club with three men’s teams, two ladies teams, a mixed team and a junior section.

They are looking for players of all ages, male and female, to join them – even if they have never played the game before.

Braintree Hockey Club is holding its pre-season Club Day on September 6 from 2pm.

There will be a chance to find out more about the club, meet some of the current members and play some hockey in an informal setting.

A barbeque will also be available. Pre-season training is on Tuesdays between 7-9pm (women) and 8-10pm (men) at Braintree Hockey Club, Church Street, Bocking. For further information contact Katherine Abbie on 07734 930141.
