Braintree Town have now gone three Blue Square South games without a victory after they were beaten 3-2 at home by Fisher Athletic.
The Iron are sliding down the table and are one of the lowest scorers in the league.
They found themsleves a goal down inside 20 minutes and things got worse for George Borg's side when midfielder Jeff Golding scored his second of the half.
Golding completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot just after half-time.
Braintree were on the scoresheet after an hour when Bradley Quinton struck from 18 yards.
They pulled another back with five minutes to go when Louis Riddle was hauled to the ground inside the box and got up to send the keeper the wrong way from the spot.
It was too little too late for Braintree, though.
The Iron travel to take on Newport County on Saturday, kick-off 3pm.
