BRAINTREE Town manager Brad Quinton feels his team should travel to Dagenham and Redbridge tonight with their tails up after their encouraging display at Boreham Wood on Saturday.

The Iron boss felt his players would be "buzzing" after their performance at Boreham Wood as they drew 1-1 against a side who were pressing for a place in the Football League last year.

After the draw at Boreham Wood, Braintree are still without a Vanarama National League win this year but will head to the only side below them in the table tonight with renewed confidence.

Quinton said: “We have Dagenham now on Tuesday and after that performance at Boreham Wood, I think the boys should be buzzing.

“We get a win under our belt and I think we can start surprising a lot of teams."

The Braintree boss was pleased with the impacts made by his four new signings - Cameron James, Dave Nieskens, Justin Amaluzor and Mohammed Sagaf - at Boreham and felt it was a strong team display.

Quinton had been disappointed with the style of football played by his team in their previous game, saying the passing game he wanted to see had been lacking.

So he was happy to see the statistics were more positive after for their trip to Boreham Wood.

He added: “We’ll look at the analysis from the game and I think I’ll be very impressed from the number of passes that we made.

“I don’t like playing long football so I was pleased with how the boys got the ball down and passed it.

“It was with a high tempo as well.

“It wasn’t just passing it, it was forward at all opportunities and I was pleased to see that.

“I was very impressed."
