BRAINTREE TOWN had to settle for a share of the spoils after conceding a second-half equaliser in tonight’s 1-1 draw at Barnet.
The sides met in a National League contest and Brad Quinton’s Iron were hunting their first points of the season, after losing 2-0 at FC Halifax Town on Saturday.
They got off to a good start when Jack Taylor’s unfortunate own goal put them ahead in the 36th minute, after a dangerous cross from Jonathan Muleba.
However, Barnet equalised just after the hour-mark through Shaq Coulthirst, latching onto a cross from Dan Sparkes.
The hosts, relegated from League Two last season, pushed for a winner in the final stages but were left frustrated as they registered a second successive draw since the summer appointment of manager John Still.
