All-smiles: the Braintree Bowling Club members who competed in the Tribble Triples.
PLAYING in very hot, energy-sapping conditions, several Braintree Bowling Club members braved the elements to complete an internal club competition called the Tribble Triples.
This competition was played on two rinks of three members, playing against an opposite of three.
After these four teams had played, a further four teams played and this process was repeated once again until it was decided who had gained the most points to go forward to the final.
The final was then played and David Threadgold, David Grice and Rob Dolman were beaten by Daniel Gibbons, Lynda Butcher and David Hunt.
The latter trio won by six shots to five, over eight ends.
