THREE players from the Braintree Basketball Club represented Essex at the East of England regional basketball tournament.
All three girls went through vigorous trials to make the county squads.
Sophie Phillips was the youngest member of the under-13s squad and played an integral part in their success, with the team finishing as runners-up in the tournament.
Both Elizabeth Forster and Sophie Eastall-Burdon also had a great experience and playing big roles within the under-11s squad.
That was especially the case with an important three-point shot by Forster that secured a win for the Essex under-11 team as they came away as winners of the East of England tournament.
The Essex side had wins over Norfolk, Suffolk, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire.
Braintree coach Den Gilder said: "The girls have done the club proud and it is exciting times for girls' basketball in Braintree and Witham."
