WITHAM Town manager Adam Flint insists there will be no half measures from his side during a busy run of Bostik League division north action.

A trip to local rivals Heybridge Swifts - who Witham drew 1-1 with two weeks ago - last night kick-started a run of three games in six days.

Following the trip to Swifts, Town will host division north basement boys Romford on Saturday, before another home game against another struggling side, Norwich United, on Tuesday.

Witham head into the hectic period buoyed by a 2-0 win against Waltham Abbey last weekend - that came thanks to two late strikes by Chinedu Osadebe - but they were missing several players through injuries and unavailability.

Flint knows three games in quick succession will test his resources, but he said he would be putting out the strongest sides possible for all games.

He said: "I'm sure Romford will be looking at it and seen that we had a local derby on Thursday so may put out a weaker side for Saturday, but we will take every game as seriously as we did for Heybridge.

"We owe that to all the other teams battling down the bottom as I know we would feel the same way and I would want teams to do that.

"We will go into every game the same.

"There were a few missing on Saturday against Waltham Abbey but I'm hoping we'll have some back for Heybridge.

"We have games coming thick and fast at the moment and we'll need all the squad as we want to get past our points target of 60 and we have nine points to play for in the next six days.

"Competition for places is good at the moment even though we were missing people last weekend.

"We had Chi (Osadebe) and Tom Robinson on the bench, so they had a point to prove when they came on.

"That's what you want and they combined for one of the goals.

"The way we fought until the end shows that the players are still fighting.

"I questioned them after the defeat at Grays as I feared the season was petering out but they showed me differently against Waltham Abbey."
