DUOS from Swiss Bell and Braintree Football Club will battle it out in the final of the mixed pairs competition after seeing semi-final successes in the Braintree Open Darts League.

It was the first of the league's 2018 knockout competitions to be contested, with 25 teams from both divisions vying for a final place at Cressing Social Club.

With teams looking to book their place in the showpiece at finals night, players excelled with quality darts being thrown from all involved.

Playing their way through to the semi-finals were Swiss Bell duo Rachel Farmer and Ash Chibwe, who found themselves up against Braintree Football Club's Lynn Kelly and Matt Baker.

With a first leg win, the Football club pair looked to be on the winning trail but Farmer and Chibwe claimed the next two to make sure they had their final spot booked.

The second semi-final was also a Swiss Bell and Football Club affair, with Tony Holland and Ann Farmer up against Dawn Kennedy and Rick Marshall.

On this occasion, though, it was the Football Club's Kennedy and Marshall, who were into the final after winning the first two legs of their semi-final.
