Triumphant: James Bosher won the Cold Christmas to High Easter trail race.
GRANGE Farm and Dunmow Runners’ James Bosher left his rivals standing in the 50 kilometre race starting near Cold Christmas in Hertfordshire and finishing at High Easter Village Hall.
The biennial trail event, organised by Springfield Striders, was 95 per cent off-road and involved the 75 competitors following written instructions.
Bosher completed the course in four hours eight minutes, 45 minutes ahead of the second-placed finishers, Springfield Striders’ Jon Byford and Alex Manton.
Also for Grange Farm, Steve Read finished 27th in 6h 2m, Hayley and John Smith finished with Jo Bisset-Smith in 6h 31min and Colin Jackson and Ashwin Shah were back in 6h 35m.
