COLNE Valley Golf Club's team produced an incredible comeback victory in their Curry Cup semi-final tie against Three Rivers at Fynn Valley.

The morning foursomes went Three Rivers' way with them taking a 4½-1½ lead into the 12 afternoon singles matches.

Valley got off to the perfect start in the afternoon, though, with Paul Davies securing the biggest singles win with an eight and six victory.

Wins followed for Tom Earl, Anthony Kerwin, Russ Bell, Stuart Hurst, Stuart Collingridge and John Poulsen.

And with matches halved involving Matt Holbrook, Jon Bailey, Roger Cook and Phil Reeve, Valley had nine points from a possible 12 in the singles to secure a 10½-7½ victory.

Valley will now meet Stowmarket in the final which is being played at Stowmarket in two weeks.

Colne Valley men’s Monthly Medal was held with Holbrook taking the honours with a nett 70.

Dave Sullens was second with Tom Bowles third on countback after both players returned a nett 71.

The ladies' Medal had to be decided on countback, with Abigail March taking victory over Celia Larkham as both fired in nett 72s.

Pearl Powell was third with a nett 73.
