THE Braintree Open Darts League's ladies' and men's singles knockout competitions were held at Bocking with 11 ladies and 46 men vying to take centre stage on finals night.

After the opening rounds in the ladies's competition, Cressing B's Tracey Hemming and Swiss Bell's Ann Farmer had played their way to the semi-final and with a 3-1 win for Farmer, she had her final spot booked.

The second semi saw Braintree Football Clubs Lynn Kelly secure her place in the final with a 3-0 win against Bocking's Julie Barnard.

The first men's semi-final had Cressing B's Rob Turner facing Swiss Bell's Barry Lynn, with Lynn edging through with a 3-2 advantage.

The second semi-final saw Bryan Willis unable to reproduce the form that took him to the last four, however, Cressing A's Shane Smith did as he chalked up a 3-1 win to book his final spot.
