WITHAM TAGB Taekwondo maintained their grip on the county crown as they were winners of the Essex Interclub Taekwondo Championships again.
It was only the second year this competition had been running and the Witham club retained the title that they won last year.
The championships were held at New Rickstones Academy in Witham and clubs from Braintree, Chelmsford, Colchester, Danbury, Southend and Wickford were also competing.
Witham TAGB had 21 students involved, 11 of whom were at at their first ever competition and their youngest was just seven-years-old.
However, to their instructors' delight they came out as overall winners and Essex club champions with a total of 52 medals. They also achieved ten club champion titles and had two team champions.
All profits from this competition will be donated to Great Ormond Street Hospital.
