COLNE Valley Golf Club's seniors held their second major of the year with the B&J Adams Bowmaker Trophy.

A total of 11 teams of three took part in a Bowmaker format competition with the team of Allan Scott, Steve Willingham and Bryan Powell taking victory with a score of 80 points.

They were four clear of the second-placed team of Mick Coe, Bernie Gaught and Phil Carr, with Neil Lodge, Geoff Earnshaw and John Anderson third on 73 points.

Meanwhile, the men’s and ladies' May medal took place.

John Poulsen took the men’s honours with a nett 66, followed by Paul Carroll in second with a nett 68 and Stuart Hurst was third with a nett 69.

Ruth Eyre-Pugh made headlines on two fronts this week.

Not only did she fire in an impressive nett 63 to take the ladies' medal by 21 shots from Celia Larkham, she also won the County Bronze Handicap meeting at Benton Hall and battled tough conditions win by three shots earlier in the week.

Colne Valley's Junior Stableford was won by Abigail March with 46 points.

Bailey Taylor was second with 44 and Micah Blowers II came third with 40.
