CRESSING A made the short trip to Notley Sports and with a 3-0 win in the pairs, a draw in the triples and wins in the opening two singles, the visitors looked to be on their way to a Braintree Open Darts League match win.

Notley's Stewart Thorogood halted Cressings progress in the third with a 2-1 win, but with John Abbott, Andy Holland, Bryan Willis and Richard Pryke all winning, Cressing had the match and singles won.

Eagle A built up a commanding match lead at Braintree Football Club with a 2-1 win in the pairs followed by a win in the triples.

Andy Slade's 2-1 win in the first singles gave the Football Club a route back, but wins for Matt Last and Barry Old in the next two extended the Eagle's lead.

However, ynn Kelly, Hayden Acott, Matt Baker and Colin Dowsett all won to secure the singles victory for the Football Club with the overall match ended in a draw.

Wethersfield Raiders found themselves on the end of a 3-0 pairs defeat against Bocking Club but held the visitors to a draw in the triples.

Wins for Brendan Hand and Andi Thomas bought the Raiders back into the match in the singles but Bocking took the match points with Jimmy Kiddle and Graham Hardy winning the final two singles games.

A 2-1 pairs win and a draw in the triples gave Cressing B a slight overall advantage against Horse and Groom, but Jackie Ryder levelled the match with a win in the opening singles.

Honours were shared in the next five games, so the match and singles outcome rested on the final game between Linda Goodwin and Dave Clack, with Clack taking the singles for Horse and Groom as the match ended in a draw.

Eagle B has a 3-0 pairs win against Wethersfield Club, who levelled the match with an opening singles win and a triples draw.

Tony Boreham's 2-0 win in the fifth gave Wethersfield the singles win, but a 2-0 win in the final game for Wethersfield's Emma Totman saw the match end in a draw.

Kevin Taylor hit a 180 and high out shots were recorded by Colin Dowsett 113, Tony Bamsey 110, Ash Gibson 104, Barry Old 101, Lynn Kelly 90 and Jackie Ryder 79.
