WITHAM Rugby Club's Wolves under-eights travelled to Harlow where they faced the home team and Chingford in a triangular fixture.
The Wolves team of Xander Woodward, Archie Simper, Alfie Nice, Cameron Onley, Bryn Arnold, Aston Beer, Destiny Beer and Harry Lower, dominated the first of three games against a side from the hosts.
The Witham youngsters took advantage of holes in the defensive line with some superb tagging and attacking play by all the whole team as the game ended 5-3 to the Wolves.
The second game, against a different home team, was much harder as Harlow learnt from their previous team's errors as they won the game 7-2.
However, the Wolves were soon back on top form against Chingford.
In an excellent display of team-work, Witham drew on all of their recent training and again dominated much of the play, seeing seven tries go over the line to Chingford's five.
Junior chairman and under-eights lead coach Darren Smith said: "We were immensely proud of the whole team's sporting attitude and to see the children playing rugby with huge smiles on their faces."
Player of the day went to Wolves captain Onley.
