TEN girls from Felsted School have been selected for Essex cricket squads after recent trials.
Jemima Leigh and Kim Raeburn have been selected for the Essex under-11 squad and Jess Olorenshaw and Ruby Hart for the under-13s.
Beth Irvine, Emma Jones and Annabel Hills have made it into the under-15 Essex squad and Alex Went, Poppy Timson and Amie Chapman have been selected for the under-17s.
The girls will be involved in winter training at Essex's County Ground and will be put up for selection for summer matches.
The selections come at the end of a very successful cricket season for the Felsted Girls after the school's senior first team claimed the county title.
Felsted's under-13 A girls also won four out of five of their games at their first-ever tournament last season and the under-15 girls finished third in the country at the Lady Taverner’s Indoor Cricket Cup final at Lord’s.
