DUNMOW RHODES 9

RAYLEIGH TOWN 1

Mid-Essex Football League division one

AFTER back-to-back wins, Dunmow Rhodes started their Mid-Essex Football League division one game against Rayleigh Town full of confidence and they ended up putting nine goals past the visitors.

High intensity from the start saw Dunmow create chances straight away and Jake Buckland opened the scoring in the 11th minute as he ran on to a perfect pass from Adam Burton.

Lee Jarvis Brown powered home a header to make it 2-0 at half-time and it took just three minutes after the break for man-of-the-match Jamie Sanders to add a third.

A thunderbolt of a strike from Charlie Davies made it 4-0, George Burns' cross went straight over the keeper's head for a fifth and Jarvis Brown, Davies and Buckland all added a second goal each for an 8-0 lead.

Rayleigh's efforts were awarded with a late goal, but Dunmow captain Simon Preece finished of this strong display to make it 9-1.
