ROUND eight of the Formula One British Sidecar Championship saw Braintree's Kevin Cable and passenger Guy Pawsey, from Witham, head to the TT Circuit at Assen in the Netherlands.
The duo had been starting to show some good form over the previous few rounds and they qualified 30th on a circuit Pawsey had never raced at before.
The race saw them finish in 12th place on a drying track, before another solid performance took them to 11th in race two, which put them 13th in the championship.
Pawsey said: “I’d never been to Assen before and it was a lot of track to learn in four sessions but I’m getting more confidence and we are getting faster with each session.”
The final round is at Brands Hatch in two weeks.
