Gosfield Lake lady captain Jennie Starr presents the Ladies' Club Championship trophy to Melanie Ponsonby.
MELANIE Ponsonby repeated her achievement of 2011 by winning the Ladies' Club Championship for a second time at Gosfield Lake Golf Club.
First round early leaders were Sandra Parnell and Jackie Henley but Ponsonby blew away the nearest challengers with a second round of 85, which was the best individual round of the day.
Georgina Penketh fought back with an 87 in the second round to finish in second place, five strokes behind the triumphant Ponsonby.
Lady Captain Jennie Starr presented the Club Champions Trophy to Ponsonby.
The best nett score over the two rounds went to Jackie Henley with 145 strokes and Debbie Eames was second only three strokes in arrears.
The Challenge Trophy over 18 holes was won by Joyce Thorndyke.
