NOTLEY Sports took the pairs honours and drew the triples on their trip to Bocking in the Braintree Open Dart League, before going on to claim singles and overall match honours.

Stewart Thorogood's 2-0 win against Graham Hardy gave Notley the final singles point they needed to wrap up the match.

Wagon and Horses entertained Cressing and after a 3-0 defeat in the pairs and a draw in the triples the home side needed the results to go their way in the singles.

However, with Cressing winning five of the seven singles games it wasn't to be the home team's night.

Horse and Groom went down 2-1 to visiting Eagle A in the pairs and after a draw in the triples went further behind by losing the opening two singles.

The next four went the home side's way to earn them the singles points but with the Eagle took the final game as the overall match ended in a draw.

With the Retreat winning the pairs 2-1 and chalking up a win in the triples against Braintree FC, they had the advantage going into the singles.

The opening singles went the same way and it was honours shared from then on which resulted in a 4-3 singles win for the Retreat together with the overall match points.

Following a 2-1 defeat in the pairs Wethersfield Raiders steadied the ship in their match against Legends with a draw in the triples and a win for Brendan Hands in the first singles game.

However that win was to be the last for the Raiders as Legends claimed the next six games for singles and match honours.

Eagle B found themselves on the end of a 3-0 loss in the pairs and a defeat in the triples against Wethersfield Club and things got worse for the home side in the opening singles with Wethersfield's Kevin Williams-Taylor winning 2-0.

However, the Eagle's middle order fought back, winning the next four games to secure the singles points but with Wethersfield winning the final two games, they had the overall match won.

The Retreat's Dave Saunders hit a 180 and Braintree Football Club's Alan Dewar hit a 117 out shot.
