BRAINTREE'S Kevin Cable is sitting 14th in the British Formula One Sidecar Championship following two rounds at Brands Hatch.
Together with passenger Harry Payne, who is from Colchester, the Cable Racing duo were in a strong field containing multiple World, British and Isle of Man TT champions and they qualified 17th on the grid for the first race.
The pair finished in a solid 15th place, before a tough second race that included a safety car period as they secured 17th to sit 14th in the championship.
Cable said: "It was another solid weekend in what is a quality championship and we are learning all the time.”
The next round is at Knockhill in Scotland in five weeks.
