WITH one match left to play in the winter season Cressing have already been crowned Braintree Open Dart League singles, pairs, triples and overall champions, while Braintree Football Club are ladies champions.

Legends are runners up in the singles as are the Retreat in the league.

In the penultimate round of matches, Braintree Football Club travelled to Wethersfield and won the pairs 3-0 win, the triples and the singles 6-1, with Barry Jeggo earning the hosts' only success.

Swiss Bell took triples honours at the Retreat, but the hosts claimed the pairs and six of the seven singles.

Legends lost the pairs against the Eagle B but bounced back to win the triples and picked up the singles points with wins for Ernie Holden, Barry Lynn and Chris Holden.

Bocking lost the pairs and triples to visiting Notley Sports, who then claimed the opening three singles to seal the match points.

Wins for Trevor Wells and Colin Barnard gave Bocking , hope of singles success but Jon Islip dashed that to secure the points for Notley.

The singles and match outcome rested on the result of the final game between Eagle A and Welsh Princess with a win for Barry Old giving honours to the Eagle.

Brendan Hand, Andy Camp and Tony Holland all hit 180s and Richard Chandler hit a 144 out shot.
