BRAINTREE and District Athletic Club's long and triple jumpers had yet another successful year at the Essex County AA Championships at Chelmsford.
Melissa Gurteen repeated her silver medal placing of last year, in the under-17 women's triple jump with a new personal best distance of 9.74 metres.
Charlie Shingleton started his day off with a gold medal in the senior men's long jump, with a leap of 6.15m, and then added a bronze medal in the senior men's triple jump with distance of 12.57m.
Ryan Morgan justified his East of England number-one ranking by taking the under-17s men's gold a collective leap of 12.70m.
The result of the day came in the girls' under-15 triple jump, when Kiera Hornsby took the gold medal in her first-ever outing in the event.
The Braintree youngster posted a personal best of 9.54m, which could place her very highly within the UK ranking system.
