Braintree and Bocking Angling Society’s Club Sweep on Hobbs Croft at the Fennes produced some good weights as usual and leading the way was new member Billy Walker.
Catching silvers for the first part of the match while feeding the margins, he was rewarded with two late carp to give him a 25-8-0 winning total.
Chris Orrin was in the corner peg and landed one carp with his silvers, for 22-8-0 for second Sections (excluding top two): 1 J Loosley 13-10-0, 2 G Spong 20-4-0, 3 P Thompson 14-1-0.
The Friday Sweep at Notley saw the competitors struggle for fish compared to previous weeks and Keith Nash saw his 7-7-0 win the match.
Sections (excluding winner): 1 J Daniels 5-14-8, 2 J Loosley 4-8-0.
