Maldon and Tiptree put on a commanding display to secure victory at AFC Hornchurch.

The Jammers took all three points with a 3-1 Ryman League division north win.

Femi Akinwande gave Maldon the early advantage putting them 1-0 up on 12 minutes.

He ran on to Darren Mills’ pass and slotted underneath home keeper Sam Mott.

Mills then went close on 15 minutes with a speculative shot just drifted wide with the keeper beaten.

Two minutes later Hornchurch could only clear the ball as far as Mills and he made no mistake firing in to make it 2-0 and chalk up his first goal for the Jammers.

Maldon keeper Danny Sambridge was called on to make a great save from Tobi Joseph.

But the visitors went up the other end and made it 3-0 when David Segura finished well to open his Jammers’ account on 38 minutes.

Hornchurch managed to pull a goal back when David Knight hooked the ball in on 67 minutes after Mott had made two saves to keep the Jammers out.

Sambridge then made a great save on 83 minutes from Joseph and Maldon then had to clear off the line to stop the home side forcing their way back in the game.

The home side took the lead on 32 minutes through Jake Anema.

But John Watson equalised for the visitors on 50 minutes.

However, Ryan Crisp put the visitors back in front on 66 minutes.

Witham, though, pulled it level again with ten minutes to go when Tom Cocklin equalised from the penalty spot.
